To Do : My Passion for Music

Well, I know all of you have heard of my love for the Amazing music artist : Lindsey Stirling. And tonight as I was working on my writing, ( FYI : I listen to instrumental music when I type on my book, for inspiration) I hit a little writer's block. Normally when I have writer's block, I pace around the room, going over ideas, and usually it works. But that night, I just wasn't feeling it. So, I decided to try something different. I just started dancing! I just let out all of my stress, even though I wasn't that stressed out, through movement! And you know what?? It totally, 100% Worked! I sat down after the song, winded a little, but feeling great. I read a little of what I had just typed and POOF! Writers block,...gone.
So, yes there is a point to this whole story. I just wanted to share how soothing and amazing good music can be! Instrumental especially. And when you find a really good song that you just love, that you can just let yourself go in, It's amazing. And as you know, I'm a Christian, and I think you should really only play good music. I'm not saying that if you play non-Christan you can't do it, but it's so much harder to just get into that amazing feeling.
So next time you feel like you're feeling down, or just don't know what to do, frustrated with God, or you feel like you don't know what you're doing with yourself, try this:
  1.  Tell God how you're feeling. Tell Him all your troubles and worries, and just get it off your chest! Have yourself a good cry, too, if it helps! Sometimes breaking down crying can be the best way to make you feel better...
  2. Then find a song that you can really relate to. It could be Instrumental, Pop, Jazz, Heavy Metal, Anything! Anything that gets you full of happiness, on your feet, moving in any way that you like.
  3. Then find a room. A room that is relatively large, or just big enough to move around in. Clear some furniture, and anything you really wouldn't want to accidentally run into, out of the way. I don't want you to feel embarrassed or anything, so if you're even just a little shy, I suggest find a room that no one goes into, or wait for them to leave the house, just so you can be totally free and fully enjoy yourself, without the whole- turning around to see if anyone is watching -ordeal. A completely worry-free zone.
  4. Turn it on, loud! Not busting your ears loud, but loud enough so you feel surrounded by it almost. Now the rest is up to you.
This wonderful, um, I don't know what you call it really...I guess "process" (?) works on many different things too. It can be something as writers block, or as complex as your parents getting divorced. (though I doubt that you are going to break down crying when you have writers block! ;) but if you do, it ok! nothing wrong with it!) the point is, it is a great reliever, and I hope it works for you too!

So Many Differences...

How can you tell the difference between one you should shun and one you should trust...
A person you should shun will sacrifice his own followers for his own well being. A person who will betray his best ally in a matter of moments without thinking twice if there is something for him to gain. He lies and deceives. A person only interested in crushing his opponents through brutal and bloody force, and does not care how many fall on the way.
A person you can trust is a person who will put his life on the line for his friends and fellow colleagues. A person who will not let down and will stand by an accomplice to the end. A person who will only fight for his country and to protect the lives of others, not just to gain the satisfaction of blood on his sword. He will be kind and worthy. A person not afraid to speak his mind...

Art: Then and Now

Isn't it amazing how much talent and patience it use to take to make art?  Quoting some of my favorite people "- just because I have a kitchen doesn't mean I'm a cook..."  -Blimey Cow.
Art is a creative movement most cannot comprehend. Go back and look at all the artists or musicians, anyone! Did they do it so they could make money? I'm not going to lie, partially, yes! That was how they stayed alive, and bought all their supplies. But it didn't start that way....they didn't pick up a paintbrush or a Instrument and say, "I'm going to become famous and make lots of money!" They discovered their talent,  nurtured it and did what they did because they loved it. If we all set silly notions like that in our heads, we wouldn't get very far in life. People these days only try to find the easy way out. But what no one sees is how lucky we are to even get a choice of "easy or hard".

Everyone has a place in this world. Maybe not all of us can be in the spotlight but that doesn't mean what we love to do isn't good enough.

Birds of a feather flock together.  There's a crowd for everything. Find your crowd, your people, you place! Some where that will appreciate what you do and most of all encourage you! We all need encouragment, even if you're not that person who needs affirmation to feel good or excepted.
Once you befriend people who have your same interests you can talk and encourage each other in your talent.

Art is a wonderful thing, but you can't tell me that it took a creative effort to paint a yellow circle on a canvas. All your gifts come from God! He wants you to succeed and do well! Show us what you've got:)

V-V-Vacation

Guess what! This week my parents surprised me and my brother with a trip to Mississippi! Okay, I know what your thinking : Mississippi isn't exactly a dream vacation hot-spot. But I haven't been on a vacation in two( maybe three! ) years, OK , cut me some slack. And it actually was prrr-e-tty nice! We stayed in a Condo right on the beach! When I say "on", I mean step one step off the Condo's property and you're on the beach. oh! it was sooooo much fun!! Minus me being allergic to the sunscreen and my eyes being on fire because of it,it was fun. The last night we were there we went ghost crab hunting. They are these small, adorable, white crabs. but they only come out at night. We brought flashlights and nets to the beach to find them. We found six!! they are SOOOO CUTE!!! To hide themselves from predators they bury themselves in sand and they do it super fast. and good too! I bet I passed over hundreds, because they literally disappear!

Oh and another interesting thing (this one is really going to blow you away.) while we were looking for crabs, heat lightening started to flash way out over the water. So me, and Aidan turned off our lights. After about two minutes it stopped. It was so pretty with the wind blowing so we just stood there a moment. Then we heard dad shout, " What's that?"  We all looked in the water. then we saw it. There was little bio-luminescent creatures in the water! little flashes of blue light! We didn't have the camera with us so here are two pics I found on the internet. FYI the bottom 2nd pic is actually what the beach looked like. But there wasn't near  as many and they were further out in the water.

When Hurricane Katrina came through Biloxi, Mississippi in 2007, many of it's old oak trees were wiped out in the process. To give the trees a new meaning instead of taking them down, Mayor A.J Holloway and Public Affairs Manager, Vincent Creel, talked to Mississippi " Chainsaw Artist " Dayton Scoggins about carving ocean animals into the dead trees. I took a picture of his first work "The two Angels", and some others I found on the internet:

Bird Takes Bath

You will not believe what I just saw! Like really, I just saw it 5:20pm. My dad hooked up our sprinkler to water our grass. A few minutes later when he came in side, and looked out to see if he needs to adjust it any. He did not notice, however, a cardinal sitting on our telephone wire. He flew down and sat looking at the sprinkler a few feet away. Then without a care flew strait into it!soon he was so tired from diving and torpedoing the water he simply sat down where the water would spray him. We have a rotating sprinkler that moves back and forth, so it covers every inch of grass. every time it hit him, all his feathers would stand on end( so the water can reach his skin )and he would flutter his wings and tail. Way to beat the heat! And I mean it! we are in the middle of a heat wave today, and of course this is the day my parents want to work out in the yard ( front and back )  :)

Nothing To Do But Type

Well, like the tittle says there's really nothing to do but just sit and kind of surf the computer. Right now my cat is rubbing my legs to pick her up and pet her. My brother Aidan now thinks he's an opera singer and for a couple of days now he sings to the top of his lungs while trying to see how long he can hold each note :)!
I have finally gotten a book from the library that I have been trying to get for a year now! It's called " The Tale of Emily Windsnap" by Liz Kessler. Funny story: I won the third book in the series at a contest at my library. But....the not so funny thing is that I didn't figure out that it was the third book until after I read it! so long story short, it's taken me a year( ! ) to get the rest of the series. This book may not be for all, but I really like it so....maybe try it out and see what you think. :)
I also have become interested in a new wii game lately. It's called Skylanders. Now before you go " she plays that! That's a boy game! " I am here to tell you that there is no such thing as a boy game, toy, movie etc....that is just something that the world has created. Why?  I don't know. All I know is it keeps kids from telling their friends about a game, movie, TV show, toy that they recently got or brag about a high score they set on a game that they really love to do! So hear me and hear me good world and who ever made up this stuff, I love to play Skylanders, watch the show Ben Ten: Alien Force, play with logos (with my brother), and I don't care that the world knows it. And I shouldn't be afraid that people will think I'm weird. But you know, I am. I wish I wasn't. I really had second thoughts about posting this. But now I see that I need to start an awareness about this. Okay I didn't mean to go all "Save The Earth" on you :)
So what else is new...oh yeah. My mom is having her molars taken out July 8th. So please pray for her on that. She's very nervous. Today was just her precheck-up, and her voice fluttered when she talked!
Oh and something else also. At my library they get all the teen council people to draw a mural for the walls. This years theme was underneath the surface. I drew a really cool picture of a girl digging in a field. Underneath her is a huge t-Rex skeleton. Here's a pic ( my mom took it at a weird angle. Sorry )

Well....that's mostly all that's going on right now except that we just got our pool up and it's so fun!
Y'all don't know this but last year our pool liner got holes eaten in it by mice. So we didn't have it last year so it feels so good this year. Okay my brother is standing over the top of me to get off the iPad so farewell till next time.
